JUST THAUGHT I WOULD LET YOU KNOW I WON THE SUPER SEDAN TRACK CHAMPION AT WARWICK DRAG WAY FOR 2009 ,THE 426 STROKER HAS BEEN RIGHT ON ALL YEAR, VERY RELIABLE AND CONSISTANT AND HASN’T MISSED A BEAT .

HERE IS A SHOT OF THE VF VALIANT COUPE THE 426 SMALL BLOCK IS IN. I HAVEN'T RUN IT YET. THE PIPES GET MADE THIS WEEK AND I WILL PUT IT ON THE TRACK ON MOPAR SUNDAY.
THE CAR IS A 1969 VF VALIANT COUPE IT WAS A ORIGINAL V8 WITH A 318 AND 904 COMBO AND FLOOR SHIFTER IN AUSTRALIA WE SHORTEN THE FRONT A COUPLE OF INCHES AND PUT DODGE DART FRONTS AND YOU HAVE A 69 DODGE DART.
THE CAR NOW IS FITTED WITH A HUGHES 426 STROKER WITH A 850 MIGHTY DEMON AND PROBILLET MSD,A 727 REVERSE PATTERN WITH TRANS BRAKE AND SOME OTHER WORK A B&M PRO RATCHET SHIFTER , 9 INCH DIFF WITH A STRANGE FULL SPOOL 411 GEARS ,35 SPLINE MOSER AXLES .I HAVE TOTALLY GUTTED THE CAR AND MINI TUBBED IT MYSELF I SHIFTED THE SPRING HANGERS TO THE INSIDE OF THE CHASIS SO THE SPRINGS ARE 700 MM APART AND CAN RUN RUBBER RIGHT TO THE EDGE OF THE CHASIS .I HAVE 8 AND HALF X 15 RIMS WITH 28X11.5 MICKY TS ON THE BACK BUT STILL HAVE ABOUT 3 INCHES OF ROOM IF NEEDED FOR MORE RUBBER .THE BACK BRAKES ARE DRUM AND THE FRONT A SLOTTED DISCS WITH TWIN SPOT PBR CALLIPERS .
HERE IS A SHOT OF THE COUPE LEAVING HARD OVER THE 1/8 MILE 064 LIGHT, 1.388 60 FT 6.299 AT 107.14 MPH.
